On September 24, 2017 it was held a first triathlon race 11Tri Belgrade 70.3 distance (1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run).
We had an opportunity to host around 200 participants from all over the world. It was a huge success; 12 countries had their representatives in Belgrade.
Triathlon is an Olympic sport and one of the fastest growing sports in the world. “Ironman” distance is the most challenging discipline, however Half Distance could be even more challenging as triathletes try to do it “full throttle”.
On September 23, 2018, it will be held the second 11Tri Belgrade Race on the “Sava” Lake. Athletes will swim, ride and run at Ada Ciganlija and streets of Belgrade. Applications for the race are already opened, and we have a large number of competitors from a dozen countries. One of these is Pal Almerud who comes from Norway.
“I didn’t compete last year but I visited Belgrade and I like the city and atmosphere. I had a run near the park and told my friend, this would be a great place to have a triathlon. At that time, I didn’t know about the race. I want to end the season with a personal best in the Half Distance and enjoy delicious barbecue in Belgrade”, said Pal.
We want to thank Pal for kind words, and we can promise that we will do everything to help him to achieve his goals.
